Welcome to the FORCES site!
Forces was founded before the majority of households had personal computers. Now we have smart phones, ipads and high speed Internet service to the majority of people in the United States and Europe. We have 24/7 - news cycles, Facebook, Twitter and Google, we have truly entered the information age. Thus we have decided to de-emphasize our focus on serving as a news feed while still working to bring about a new age of peaceful coexistence of smokers and nonsmokers.
There are now a good number of high quality and dependable newsletters, email lists, and blogs that produce new, reliable, and thought-provoking material on daily and weekly bases. Our News Page will largely serve to direct FORCES visitors to those resources while still featuring contributions from our own core group of writers. You can also continue to join us on Forces Tavern or Facebook.
FORCES will be concentrating our efforts to the Free Choice 2020s: a decade in which ventilation, air filtration and tolerance will largely take the place of today's more unreasonable prohibitions. It's now 2013, and over the next seven years we will lay the groundwork for that new decade and help move the world to a place where the rights of all people, smokers and nonsmokers alike, are considered and respected.
We still need your help and support to continue to keep the website open to all, with updates on the latest anti-smoking research. The anti-smoking establishment has a great deal of money to continue to spread their misinformation campaign and while all of us are volunteers we still need your donations. Please be generous and donate now, your donations are tax deductible.

People who smoke in public could face a four-month prison sentence or a $100 fine after a decree passed by Rodrigo Duterte aims to clamp down on those who light up.
The law which was announced on Thursday (18 May) will forbid tobacco use, as well as e-cigarettes, in all public spaces including pavements.

A triumph of the busybodies: the EU begins its crackdown on smokers and vapers
One day last summer I walked into my local e-cigarette shop and bought their entire stock of my favourite vape juice. For good measure, I also bought their entire stock of the same flavour in a higher nicotine concentration and 10 bottles of the same flavour with zero nicotine to be mixed at home.
It cost me the best part of £300, but I knew it was my last chance. On previous visits, I had noticed the shelves getting barer. Less popular flavours like mine were being discontinued, so I bought the lot. The stock has never been replenished and I have bought nothing from them since.

Regulations on indoor smoking to be relaxed
17th May 2017
Smokers are breathing a sigh of relief, while nonsmokers will be gasping for air now that a draft amendment to the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act has scrapped plans to ban smoking lounges in hotels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and cigar lounges, health officials announced on Tuesday. Promote Health by Not Defending an E-Cigarette Ban
17th May 2017
The Trump administration should no longer defend FDA’s indefensible vaping ban. Harm reduction — opting for a product or activity that is not harmless but is better than the existing alternative — is a common and obvious strategy that we employ almost unthinkingly. For example, many drugs used for chemotherapy to treat cancer are highly toxic and cause a variety of serious side effects, but taking them is better than leaving the cancer untreated.
