Socio Economics Scientific Evidence Listing

Active smoking is often represented as the sole cause of lung cancer and heart disease amongst many other diseases attributed to it. In reality none of those diseases is mono-factorial – and that is the fundamental reason why it is impossible to demonstrate scientifically the causality of smoking. Lung cancer has nearly 40 suspected co-factors; health disease nearly 300. Amongst those factors, socio-economics cover an important role. Those with lower socio-economic status are more exposed to a myriad of co-factors – but, if they are smokers, you don’t have to be a mind reader to know what their diseases are going to be attributed to. Once again, “attributed” is the key word, as it represent an OPINION; but science is not made by opinions but by verifiable, repeatable and measurable facts.
