Ventilation as an alternative to smoking bans is a powerful argument against the spurious "dangers" of passive smoking. Antitobacco of course attempts to suppress the very idea of ventilation and unfortunately often succeeds in this suppression. The passive smoking scare has been created for the denormalization of smokers so that they quit using pharmaceutical nicotine, the commercial promotion of which goes into high gear in these years.
