EAT THE CONTAINER, BUT NOT THE ICE CREAM!-- OR --THE STUPIDITY OF THE HEALTH NUTSThe stupidity of the health nuts and of many environmentalists is as endless as the money that feeds them. And since the commercial opportunists follow the "leaders" like sheep, the same sad considerations apply to them too. That stupidity is well represented by their "absolute mottoes", such as: "The only safe level of exposure is no exposure at all," indicating their intransigent (actually -- fascist) attitude: that is, it's either their way all the way -- or forever war. Heil! But those mottoes also are a good indicator of their deep ignorance about the things they are crusading for, or against. Here is an excellent example from Seven Milloy's JunkScience:
Their ice cream is excellent. Their marketing is ridiculous. Ben & Jerry's is touting its new "Eco-Pint" container made from unbleached paper -- i.e., it contains no dioxin. (http://www.benjerry.com).
Ben & Jerry's says 'The only safe level of dioxin exposure is no exposure at all.' The irony is that dioxin is IN the ice cream itself. Dioxin is everywhere, including milk. It's no wonder Ben & Jerry's screwed up; they got their facts from Greenpeace. So listen to Ben & Jerry's and be safe; eat the carton, not the ice cream. Buon Appetito!
