SOMETHING'S EATING YOUR CHILD:
IT COULD BE JUNK FOOD
The scare industry has found an endless supply of money in the field of health paranoia. The children have always been the prime rationalization of this financial exploitation. Why? Because they are the poor, pure, defenceless beings who are "victims" of our bad behaviour!
Sounds emotionally appealing, doesn't it? But the children are not the concern at all, they are merely a medium to get to your wallet, and/or to control your behaviour.
The "save the children" trash used to create guilt in people is indicative of a much more profound problem: the degeneration of a social system where the media influence us on what we need, what to believe, and how to behave, as opposed to providing us with fair, un-biased information and letting us decide. Perfect population control, complete with the illusion of self-determination.
In today's way of life, where both parents are working often to acquire material goods that are not essential -- but they have been conditioned to believe that they are -- children are virtually abandoned to the care of external entities, as opposed to the care of parents. This psychological neglect severely affects the children WAY MORE than smoking or junk food. It creates gaps in their formation that cannot be filled by schools and "education" of the brainwashing type, the only type that seems to get support from the government, nowadays.
The fortunes spent in antismoking trash in schools, for example, should be spent in helping one of the parents to STAY HOME and take care of his/her child. Anti-drinking, anti-everything, fear-mongering "education" should be converted into true education, maybe teaching the children about history and mathematics once again, instead of wasting taxpayers' billions in stupid health campaigns.
North Americans are already the longest-lived people in the world. But they are certainly the least educated. Especially in the knowledge of human interaction, compassion, tolerance, and love for their neighbours and their children.
You do not NEED the latest $1,000 anti-lock braking system option in your car to "protect your child" when you are taking him to school. But he NEEDS YOU TO BE THERE when he comes back from school for that function of guidance and love that nature has established millions of years ago.
So, if we keep believing that by forbidding a 10-minute exposure to secondhand smoke in the car on the way to relinquishing him to a daycare centre "protects" our child from ill, by God, no greater illusion can be more deceiving.
