WE HAVE DELIVERED EVERYTHING WE PROMISED... AND MORE
An end of the year message from Gian Turci, President
Christmas, 1997
Dear Readers:
FORCES Canada started its activity in August, 1996.
In our end of the year message of last year, we made many promises. It is my great
pleasure to affirm today that we have delivered everything we promised, and much more.
In the last twelve months the pressure from the enemies of liberty and choice has become far
greater, for in 1998 the program ASSIST, designed for the sole purpose of creating intolerance
of smoking among the population, is going to be over, unless certain goals of economic return
and intolerance are reached.
It is therefore understandable that the antismoking cartel concentrates all its efforts to achieve the
greatest results of intolerance possible in order to renew the colossal influx of money that makes
it possible for individuals and organizations to acquire tremendous power and wealth at the
expense of smokers while spreading more lies, and social hate.
In the meantime, reaction against this horrible state of affairs has developed quite significantly,
though ignored at large by the media, which is anxious to position itself for its share
of the loot coming from the Tobacco Deal: 10 billion dollars in antitobacco advertisement, or 500
million dollars a year. Devoid of any respect for truth, as well as fairness to the public and
objectivity, ignorant of the true facts, and only concerned with their pocketbook, the media will
keep spreading the cancerous lies of the antismokers when the deal is signed.
It is understandable that the mass-media have their own best interest in mind, which includes
silence about any evidence of the lies of the antis, or information black-out on the build-up of
resistance to the upcoming dark ages.
In spite of this, FORCES and FORCES Canada have achieved tremendous success in the last
year.
- Eight chapters have been formed in the U.S. in addition to the original headquarters in San Francisco, above and
beyond the Canadian national chapter.
- We have provided our readership with the finest and most varied reading materials available on
the smoking issue.
- We have created political alliances with many non tobacco-related parties who have similar
interests, and the same respect for liberty, truth, and individual freedoms.
- We have participated in public demonstrations against smoking bans, joining our voice
to the ones of the hospitality industry operators, victims themselves of the unfair legislation.
- We have organised the first North American Smokers' Rights movement convention, in which
many foreign guests participated.
- We have joined forces with many smokers' rights organizations from around the world, and we
are now creating an international network of information exchange, political pressure, and
reciprocal help to combat the internationalization of the criminal antismoking racket, financed and
politically sustained by the bosses in the White House.
- We have continuously challenged political and medical antismokers to prove and demonstrate
the validity of their claim according to honest science. Invariably and without exception, the
antismokers have answered with standard, empty letters, or totally ignored our challenge,
demonstrating not just the hollowness of their claims, but their moral, scientific, and political
arrogance and corruption, which is beyond redemption. Ironically, people who would have
populated prison cells no more than twenty years ago, are now in position of great political power,
or they are organized in medical, or "non-smokers' rights organizations", protected by the same
political system they are bleeding financially with voracious appetite. Some of them have even
made it to the White House, or to positions in the Ministries of Health.
Now, FORCES Canada pledges to continue to fight to the bitter end, and with ever-increasing
commitment, the antismoking crime with the weapons of truth and due process, but by no means
intimidated by the authority of the state and its antismoking cronies, or by the harassment of the
antis.
At this point, on behalf of FORCES Canada and its members, I would like to personally thank our
very many friends, allies, sympathizers, and readers.

the antismoking cartel.
To close, a personal acknowledgment to:
Mrs. Pat Hagen from Vancouver and member of FORCES Canada whose reliability, loyalty, and
calm relentlessness have helped us so much;
Mrs. Anne MacDiarmid, whose graphic and literary skills (and great patience and tolerance) have
so much improved the quality of our site.
In my Christmas message last year I wrote: "We hope and foresee that 1997 will be a blossoming
year for the FORCES organization, both in Canada and U.S.A."
It has been indeed. Thanks to the help of all of you.
We have the indomitable belief that no matter how hard politicians and government try to mislead
us, no matter with what means and budget, in the end they will be powerless against the ultimate
weapon of all times: the truth, and the determination of people not to relinquish hard-won rights.
In the face of the sceptics, we relentlessly believe in the love of people for honesty, reality, and
personal freedom. No matter under what cloak -- ideology, security, or health -- negative and
repressive regimes have always self-destruct in the end. All we have to do is come close
together, fight back, and force the enemies of liberty to reveal themselves for what they are.
This is our message to all for the coming year. FORCES Canada will not publish again until
January 3rd, 1998. We will use this time to produce more information for you, and to rest a little.
We wish you the best of Christmas, and a very happy New Year.
Gian Turci,
president
