A NEW POLITICAL PARTY IS BORN IN THE UNITED STATES:

THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY

On November 4, 1998 The American Cancer Society, tax-free and "charitable" organization, issued a press release on California's Proposition 10.

We will not enter in the details about the extortion on smokers of Proposition 10 (passed with the slightest majority), because FORCES California Chapter is taking care of that.

We only point out to the readers the consciousness of the power that ACS carries in the politics of the Unites States, without the burden of political responsibility, and the legal limitations of a political party. This organization effectively controls the minds of not just Californians, and much of the United States.

Once again, the ACS proves to be a fine example of anti-tobacco political and moral degeneration, and of fascism disguised in white coats. Indeed, this organization is a Cancer for the American Society, working hard at killing its host while claiming to save it.

Its self-assured arrogance is revealed in its own words:

Company Press Release American Cancer Society Statement on Proposition 10

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Proposition 10 has been a battle between California's children and their health versus the tobacco industry and its profits. The tobacco industry spent $30-40 million on a campaign of deceit and lies to defeat Proposition 10. The American Cancer Society is optimistic that the Election Day trend to vote yes on Proposition 10 will continue with the remaining absentee, provisional and write-in ballots. And when all the votes are counted, the American Cancer Society will be victorious.
