The disgusting McCain bill would have taken 500 million dollars out of smokers' pockets to give them to a hungry state, and give plenty to the anti-tobacco cartel to carry forward its scientific frauds and hate campaign against smokers, as well as the removal of all smokers' rights. Carter Eskew has distinguished himself for this great accomplishment. Yes, Al Gore is a hypocrite because he has hired such man while whining the anti-tobacco blues, and crying the mindless, heart-bleeding, infantile story that cigarettes have "killed" his sister by "causing" lung cancer -- a still-to-be-proven "consequence" of smoking tobacco. Certainly Al Gore does not deserve our admiration for it is an enemy of smokers -- though a smoker himself. But no one can say that he cannot pick the right man for sale. The attorneys, who have brought one suit so far in Pennsylvania
federal court and are threatening to bring two more in California, are
filing the suits on behalf of cigarette distributors." The Deal of Shame in trouble. Too many people have been left out of
an agreement that should not exist in the first place.
Justice and common sense -- those extinct species -- would dictate
that the whole anti-tobacco affair should disappear, and we should
return to the normality of the last 500 years.
But present, bleak reality dictates instead that a final clash
between free enterprise and personal liberties, and socialism
camouflaged as health and science MUST take place, to finally
determine if the next century will see us as free people or health
slaves.
But it does not matter. In California, center of the anti-tobacco
cartel, the hysteria on smoking, the false information, the ignorance
and the selfish attitude of people who find it suitable to their
purposes to believe lies make secondhand smoke a great danger. The
corrupt health officials knowingly lie to the population to instigate
even more intolerance.
The hunt for smokers, the plague-spreaders of these dark years
continues, financed by tobacco tax, and by "heath officials"
who belong in jail rather than holding public office. But smokers do
not rebel -- yet. Let us not despair. The greater the repression now,
the more violent the reaction will be later, for force is the only way
to break anti-tobacco. Because of the NSA's latest attack on the anti-tobacco cartel,
Philip Morris has withdrawn all funding. It is clear that the sell-out
of the tobacco industry is not just limited to what is contained in
the settlement. It is also clear that the NSA's attack on McCain was
the pretext the tobacco industry was looking for to implement the last
phase of its betrayal. Behind the scenes, the industry is selling out
much more than the money of its customers.
Will the NSA survive? It is too early to tell.
FORCES and NSA had philosophical differences in the past, but we
are fighting the same battle. We would like to express our solidarity
with these co-fighters who have been stabbed in the back by an
industry that has a long history of sell-outs. We reiterate that it is time to join forces
all together and realize that smokers are truly on their own.
As we always said, only politically directed force, used
without fear, can change the tides of our persecution. The
persecution of smokers cannot be ended with peaceful debates. Just
like the black, gays, and other discriminated-against groups, smokers
will be persecuted into extinction unless they are ready to march in
the streets, rebel, face jail when necessary, and offer resistance in
any possible way in order to damage the machinery of the very society
that is persecuting them.
The anti-tobacco cancer wants to uttely eliminate us, and our
rights. But too many SRGs still think that they can solve this with
"good PR and the display of moderation". Let us end this
nonsense. It is abundantly clear that THIS IS A WAR, NOT A DEBATE, and
in war the goal is to ELIMINATE the enemy, not to argue, negotiate, or
kiss his ass. These are "politically incorrect" words, but
they spell the terms of the problem.
Politics are by definition the use and balance of force. It is
clear that politicians do not respect smokers -- or anyone else who
does not have, or use, enough FORCE. It is therefore time that
politicians fear the social instability a smokers' rebellion
can bring. This is not about smoking. It's about liberty. The
tobacco industry realizes that smokers are getting organized and
restless, and does what it can to break this process and help its
supposed enemies to eliminate smokers while it diversifies its
interests in other fields. Glantz' technique hasn't changed much since he produced a
study so flawed that even he was forced to admit "mistakes".
Despite his bad reputation JAMA has published Glantz' latest and The
National Smokers Association has again set the record straight. How
many times will JAMA play Charlie Brown to Glantz' Lucy before it
wises up that the football will always be yanked away?
As it has no relevance to smokers' rights, FORCES has no
opinion on the failed legislation. FORCES does have an interest,
however, in examining the hypocrisy of the bill's author and one of
its major supporters.
The bill was written by Sheila Kuehl, D-Santa Monica, the
first lesbian to be elected to the Assembly. Passage of the bill was
also intensely important to Carole Migden, D-San Francisco, the second
lesbian to be elected to the Assembly. The two lesbians are also
ardent supporters of the campaign of discrimination against the 25
percent of Californians who smoke. They've never met a smoking
restriction that they haven't embraced, they love to raise tobacco
taxes and they never lose an opportunity to demonstrate their utter
contempt for those who smoke.
A few weeks ago a bill that would have overturned the
state's law forbidding smoking in bars died when members of the Labor
Committee refused to release it to the Assembly floor. Both Migden and
Kuehl were instrumental in denying the full Assembly the opportunity
to rectify an enormous wrong. Migden, a member of the Labor Committee
had announced prior to the hearing that she saw no need to have the
bill come to the floor. On the day of the hearing she was absent but
chose Kuehl as her delegate. Kuehl's bigotry to smokers is common
knowledge and her vote for discrimination was a foregone conclusion.
The bill died and now the two lesbians find themselves in the same
place they relegated smokers.
"I want to tell you something, members: This is
very much about me," said Kuehl, her eyes teary, her face red
after her anti-discrimination bill died. One wonders where her tears
were on the day she helped kill the smoking bill that was very much
about civil liberties, property rights and fairness. Bar owner after
bar owner had begged the Labor Committee to forward the bill to allow
smoking in bars. What that bill meant to them was keeping their
businesses alive and their families fed. Kuehl's face was stony that
day as she ignored their pleas and voted as the anti-tobacco cartel
wished her to vote.
Next year Californians will be voting on an initiative that
will explicitly forbid the state to recognize same-sex marriages.
Sheila Kuehl and Carole Migden will be crisscrossing the state begging
the electorate to vote against the initiative. They have their work
cut out since polls indicate the initiative will pass. To defeat it
the gay political structure will need all the support it can get. With
the contempt that Kuehl and Migden have shown smokers the initiative
provides an excellent opportunity for an appropriate payback.
" Something similar [to Russia] is happening in the
United States. Trial lawyers who have been targeting major industries
have been transferring vast wealth from major corporations to
themselves. [...] Enormous sums have been transferred from smokers, a
downscale group, and tobacco companies, owned by many Americans
through pension and mutual funds, to state governments and trial
lawyers. [...] The tobacco cases, like the asbestos cases, are filed
under color of law but are inconsistent with principles of law."
Maybe people will understand what anti-tobacco really is
someday, and put an end to the greatest scam of the 20th century. The study, entitled 'Tourism and Hotel Revenues Before and After
Passage of Smoke-Free Restaurant Ordinances,' was published in the
May 26, 1999, issue of JAMA and was partially funded by the National
Cancer Institute.
'Glantz's work is, and has been, political advocacy masquerading
as sophisticated research,' said Thomas Humber, President of the
National Smokers Alliance, which produced the ad."
WELL DONE, NSA! It is always time to challenge the
corruption of the anti-tobacco cartel! Will Glantz answer the
challenge? Let us bet that he will not -- as it is always the case
when the frauds and falsifications of the anti-tobacco cartel are
taken to task. "I'm mad as hell at what the Nicotine Nazis have done to
New York and to America. They have turned us into lemmings, marching
to the sea at the behest of hustlers promoting junk science in the
name of health," he says.
But being angry is not enough, Mr. Zion. It is time to rebel,
and fight back. Fascism does not care about people's feelings
-- it never has. Too many Americans still fail to realize that fascism
sprung from socialism, and socialism is what governs the US and
endorses the anti-tobacco cartel today. One of the successes of
fascism was to project the perception that the overwhelming majority
of people and even science was supporting it. That projection
is a success again -- even in the field of health.
In fact, Mr. Zion "agree(s) that (primary smoking) causes
cancer and other diseases," while there is just NO PROOF
of that being true -- just often-manipulated statistical associations,
and mostly debatable evidence. While we applaud his statement that "secondhand
smoke is a joke," we encourage Mr. Zion to take a closer look
at the evidence on primary smoking. We have reasons to believe that he
would get even madder. Cons, liars and thieves cannot trust one another. Anti-tobacco's
uncanny ability to falsify science, create scares and non-existing
epidemics, as well as instigating hate does not seem to be matched
by the intelligence needed to hold on to the money, and to prevent
other thieves from using the loot. Ha, ha, ha! Good for the
thieves of the thieves. Is this gloating? You bet it is. It would be
nicer, however, if SMOKERS would quit being stupidly inert,
would REVOLT, and put an end to this shameful display of
dishonesty. Regardless of the political credo, the state seems to be
compelled to regulate even the smallest facets of our lives, making
sure that we behave like well-programmed automatons, and obey their
politics of total social control. The present immaturity and
insecurity of the politicians who are oppressing the public cannot be
displayed better than by these insulting policies. So speaks the American Lung Association regarding a partnership
formed by Japan Tobacco with an American biotechnology firm to develop
a vaccine to prevent lung cancer. At one time the suggestion that the
anti-tobacco cartel would oppose the development of a cure for lung
cancer or a vaccine to prevent it would have been greeted with
disbelief. After all, isn't the ALA all about relieving human
suffering? Not when humanitarian efforts affect its bottom line. The
evidence is mounting that the cartel is motivated strictly by
financial concerns and a malignant hatred of individual choice. The
American Lung Association would rather people, including non-smokers,
die of lung cancer than have a tobacco company finance a cure. The
moral depravity of organizations such as the ALA is surpassed only by
their inexhaustible quest for bigger piles of cash. Another attack on smokers? No. Just an attack on us all. For years
we have been saying that the issue ultimately is not tobacco. The
issue is the gradual loss of freedom as an unelected elite takes
control of the country by invoking Public Health. This press release
has it all. Stupid people who are manipulated by advertising,
government policies that can engineer better conduct, studies as
sacred text and above all, good and wise people who toil tirelessly in
the quest to make us all behave. Attorney General Janet Reno cannot be bothered with nuclear
weapons espionage or Communist Chinese election meddling but she can
ask the taxpayer to pony up millions to persecute the tobacco
industry. Considering the Justice Department has already spent
millions to investigate tobacco industry wrongdoing and came up with a
big fat ZERO, Reno's
current misuse of her office provides the lagging Al Gore with an
issue on which to run for President next year. She and Clinton also
hope to exact payment from the lawyers who cashed in so fabulously on
the tobacco settlement. The Republicans should put a stop to it the
politicization of the Justice Department.
While the press cannot be punished for the dissemination of lies,
people in official positions of public policy should -- and quite
severely. The state is in a dither, the anti-tobacco cartel is
screaming "We told you so" and the public is again assaulted
with an unedifying spectacle of a legal system and government
completely divorced from justice. The legal "talent" at the
cigarette companies will be spending the next 20 years devising
meaningless loopholes to save a few bucks for the stockholders while
continuing to screw the customers. The government and the anti-tobacco
cartel will be wasting taxes devising means to hog-tie the tobacco
industry ever more tightly. The only winners will be the lawyers
reaping their obscene fees. Rather than taking the gloves off prior to
bloodying their persecutors, the tobacco industry behaves like an
enormous aircraft carrier where the captain fights his battles with
exploding cigars.
