In a recent press release, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (owner of Johnson & Johnson, manufacturer of "patches"), the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) to create the Transdisciplinary Tobacco Use Research Centers for "studying tobacco use and new ways to combat it and its consequences." The press release lies to the public in at least four points:
CONCLUSION: These people are aware of the realities listed above, but they have found an endless supply of money that they are exploiting at the expenses of society. It is interesting to observe that the anti-tobacco cartel, though
provided with virtually unlimited funds, gets into a total
tantrum about second-hand smoke. Just like the child that, after all,
did not get the attention he wanted, the Californian anti-tobacco
cartel thinks that if the message is yelled, the message is believed -
or that people will give in due to "wear and tear". All
totalitarian regimes have used this technique, with the only result
that people simply became totally indifferent to the propaganda, with
the exception, perhaps, of a few weak-minded individuals -- and that
is the way it should be. Obviously, history is no lesson for the
Californian cartel. If it were, that would presume the presence of
intelligence.
Instead, all the cartel is achieving is just an louder, tiresome
statement of its frauds.
In fact:
,
and spread the information we have on this site. The bastards will
eventually fill the barrel with their own excrement -- and they'll
drown in it.
Please note that the person who wrote this article (an M.D.) is an
assistant clinical professor at the University of California at San
Francisco. After the mandatory and sadly ritualistic statements about
propaganda-induced opinions on smoking ("Smoking is certainly
a health risk, not to mention a dirty, smelly, and expensive
habit") to ensure credibility and attention, he spares no
hits to the slogan that is everywhere in California today: "You
still may not agree with the law... But you certainly can't argue with
the facts." Thank you. That is telling us already that there
is a lot of disagreement - and therefore resistance.
And the facts are simple: THERE ARE NO
RISKS IN SECONDHAND SMOKE, and the gangsters behind the
propaganda are guilty of public fraud, therefore deserve jail
sentences. It is just a matter of time before they will increase
the huge US prison population. Once the antismoking scam will be finally revealed at mass level,
and anti-tobacco will inevitably take the historical way of alcohol
prohibition, the anti-smoking movement will go down in history as the
perpetrator of the greatest, most successful fraud in the history of
mankind.
And the gullibility of the public and politicians, as well as the
ability of institutions to systematically deceive the people they are
supposed to "protect" will be the lessons the future
generations will learn - way more than this 'scientific' fraud
intended. Proctor says: "...That does not mean, however, that anti
smoking movements are inherently fascist; it means simply that
scientific memories are often clouded by the celebrations of victors
and that the political history of science is occasionally less
pleasant than we would wish."
Nice (and politically correct) move, Dr. Proctor. Defending junk
science should protect you from the political lynching of the
anti-tobacco cartel. However, reality is that when the state, or a
group of people, thinks that it is entitled to force the behaviour of
another group to comply with its standards, that is what fascism is
all about.
Fascism is a mental condition way more than it is a
political doctrine. It therefore can apply to any party in any nation
at any time, and under any guise. And THAT is the
historical trap that you fail to see (or conveniently neglect to
mention) in your otherwise beautiful book -- and THAT is what must be
destroyed. " Under the legislation proposed by the Chamber of Commerce,
any outside lawyer who contributed more than $250 to the campaign of a
public official would be barred from being hired to pursue a
lawsuit." … " But this year, Republican lawmakers with the
backing of business groups passed legislation requiring the State
Attorney General to have contingency-fee contracts approved by a board
appointed by top state officials. Legal fees could not exceed $4,000
an hour." $4,000 per hour. And THAT is considered to
be a LIMITOR. The scientific, political and legal gangsterism
that has been used against the tobacco industry as a test case is now
evolving against a large number of industries in the US. Guns, meat,
lead paint, toothbrushes… and it will end only when the American
people will break the back of the legal profession - decisively and
permanently. Otherwise, the legal profession will break the back of
the US, and the industries that bring prosperity and wealth to the US
such as, yes, the tobacco industry.
So speaks a representative of the American academic system. He's worried that releasing data used by researchers funded with tax dollars to the public will inhibit academic integrity. It's very doubtful that he hasn't heard of the Environmental Protection Agency's vacated secondhand smoke study or is unaware of the rash of discredited studies cranked out by Stanton Glantz and his cronies at the University of California. These are only a tiny fraction of the politically and ideologically driven studies that have been completely debunked once independent reviewers have examined the research data. The grant system in this country is a disgrace. Massive amounts of cash are shoveled into University and federal agency troughs to be slurped up by third-rate intellects whose only raison d'etre is to keep the funds flowing. They are smart enough to know on what side the bread is buttered. For instance, if money is dispersed to study the effects of secondhand smoke by a government agency that preaches secondhand smoke is a hazard, research, farmed out to the right place, will back up that erroneous contention. If anti-tobacco, anti-first amendment activists say Joe Camel seduces children, they have no problem buying the research, with tax dollars, that proves their point. Congress, acting on behalf of the people passed a law that said the public can obtain all data produced by researchers who receive federal money. The reaction of the government grant community was shrill and their squawking has paid off. The office in charge of putting the measure into effect has watered it down. With the Clinton Admistration in charge, it's only to be expected that the squalor at the top will trickle down to the flacks below. The good news is that the law is on the books. Bureaucracies can thwart the will of the people only so long. The American public will obtain full disclosure. Kudos to the US Chamber of Commerce for not lying down. The group is talking lawsuits and Congress will hear plenty about the hijacking of this much needed law. The state bureaucracies reporting to the Meathead have
provided an expensive object lesson in government waste,
inefficiencies and petty power plays. Nonetheless, the Meathead
tobacco tax has collected millions of dollars, at the expense of the
state's general fund, and provided an profitable playground for The
American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association and The
American Lung Association. His regressive tax has been very hard on
the poor folks whose children were to be the primary beneficiaries of
his vision of state over parental control. The people who can afford
his tax can afford to buy their cigarettes in bulk outside California.
After passing his tax and establishing his chaotic local
bureaucracies, the Meathead took a break and made a movie. His opus
"The Story of Us", opened this weekend and it seems Rob
Reiner had better stick to his new career of bloated government nanny
and public-fund spendthrift. The linked review says it all but omits
the description of one key scene.
The married couple are contemplating a man on whose bald
pate lies a birth mark vaguely resembling the shape of California.
Responding to the Rorschak blob, the wife utters the first thing that
comes to her mind; Gray Davis. Many images, good, bad and horrific,
spring to mind when free associating to "California" but
only an out-of-shape, dilletante, recently appointed Czar of the
Children would ever insert "Gray Davis" into a movie about
marital life. The Meathead's toadyism is a fitting comment on a
directing career that is down the drain.
Working with stooges in local jurisdictions, the Marin
Institute believes that its message should be spread throughout the
world by the use of public funds. It also believes it has the right to
smear legal industries to enforce its ideology on a sheep like
populace. We now have the tired spectacle of a bought local politician
threatening to sue a billboard company for NOT carrying anti-alcohol
propaganda. Win or lose on this one issue, the Marin Institute is a
symptom of a new cancer threatening to join the anti-tobacco
malignancies that are destroying this country.
Anti-tobacco cartel operatives have been activated to counter a
gesture of kindness by the tobacco industry in Japan. "This
is practically telling people to hurry up and die,'' lobotomised
unit Bungaku Watanabe, head of the Tobacco Problems Information Center
recited -- without, of course, realising the stupidity of its
assertion.
It is going to be difficult for the anti-tobacco bastards to claim
that the tobacco industry is trying to "addict new smokers"
this time! The council's decision to postpone - indefinitely, it
appears - action on this matter is a decisive defeat for The American
Cancer Society. ACS has received millions in grants through ASSIST,
the federally financed anti-smoker program, to devise policies
designed to compel citizens to quit smoking. The ASSIST document Approaches Directed to
the Social Environment. is a chilling blueprint in the
tradition of Nazi Germany that outlines the step-by-step scheme to
coerce Americans into altering their behavior in accordance with the
dictates of the state. The section on Economic Incentives explicitly
advocates the ill conceived policy that Boca Raton wisely rejected.
Although the council's rejection of the plan to deny the
rights to city employees that all other Americans enjoy is good news,
it is only a first step in the right direction. Police officers, fire
fighters and maintenance workers are currently compelled to sign a
no-smoking agreement. City goverment and the unions involved must work
together to rectify this injustice. In the meanwhile, the City Council
of Boca Raton deserves applause for listening to its citizens and
tossing a terrible policy into the trash.
It must also be noted that smokers and civil libertarians
let the Boca Raton City Council know how abhorant they found the
no-smoking policy. When smokers stand up and protest, public officials
are presented with the clear choice of listening to the voters or
listening to thugs like The American Cancer Society. When push comes
to shove, the politicians will listen to the voters.
Gro Harlem Brutland is vomiting more trash and waving the 4-million
virtual tobacco-related deaths in the face of the world.
Gro Harlem Brutland, head of the WHO, is a liar. She knowingly lies
to the world in order to further the WHO's political agenda of global
control.
The WHO cannot substantiate its claims, and it is defrauding the
world using virtually unlimited funds from the US and the
pharmaceutical industry to instigate a worldwide persecution.
Within its limited means, FORCES appeals not just to the tobacco
industry, but to all smokers in the world and all organizations that
still care about both national and personal independence to react
vehemently against this world-scale fraud, and to communicate with
local governments about it. The scientific evidence, as well as the proof of the
WHO's machinations and political corruption are on this
site.
The WHO has turned into a major international gang and into a
threat to civil liberties and scientific integrity all over the world.
The WHO, the anti-tobacco organizations and the corrupt politicians
supporting them must be stopped with all means that are necessary.
This message is not influenced by, or paid for, the tobacco
industry with whom FORCES has no contact. ' Zeltner, [top Swiss representative of the international
anti-smoking corruption cartel] a doctor and lawyer, said: ``There
are three suspicions -- that the tobacco industry tried to undermine
tobacco control policy-making [great job, if it is true], that
it tried to undermine research activities or the results
[…sorry, the undermining of sound science, as well as data
falsification is a speciality of anti-tobacco], and that it
interfered in the funding processes at WHO" ' [that is very
nice, since we can see what the funding by pharmaceuticals to the
integrity of this organisation.
But it gets even more hilarious:
``It is an important and delicate issue...We hope to come up
with our first results in the first half of next year,'' this
associated crook told Reuters in an interview.
Come on, we already KNOW what the results will
be, for if they do not exist, they will be either fabricated or
"creatively interpreted." It is astonishing and frightening
to see how anti-tobacco can talk about the scam of the century as if
it was an honest matter -- as if this wasn't a trial whose outcome
hadn't bee firmly established long ago. Most people are not as stupid
as you think, Zeltner.
This latest move is the result of the work of Roberta Walburn, the
Minnesota lawyer "hired" by the WHO to apply US extortion
and data fabrication/"interpretation" techniques at
international level.
The WHO is working hard to induce all governments to silence and
suppress the promotion of a legal product that supports the world
economy, and especially those facts and science about smoking that are
contrary to its political agenda. The WHO's anti-smoking agenda is
established by the US and by the pharmaceutical industry which is a
substantial contributor (therefore a controller) of this
international organisation.
The WHO bureaucratic monster should be strongly reshuffled, or
better yet dismantled and replaced with a smaller and efficient
organisation taking care of real scourges while its executives and
operatives should be the object of a very close international
investigation. But this is not even conceivable until political winds
radically change in the US - the moppeteers of the anti-tobacco
cartel.
For a complete documentary of the WHO's close association with the
international anti-tobacco cartel, CLICK HERE. Very timely indeed -- coming up with a new "study" just
when the anti-tobacco cartel is making its big moves to get money from
the state settlements.
But even fabrications have to be "smoke screened" to
diffuse the truth. Let's see:
Title: "Each day over 3,000 US teens try
cigarettes"
"Every day, almost 5,000 US teens try cigarettes for the
first time, and about 2,000 young people become regular smokers,
according to new survey results." Wait! 5,000 try - 2,000
become regular smokers = 3,000 try cigarettes as in the title (but
don't become regular smokers...), but it is 5,000 in the
opening sentence of the text. Confused? So are we. But this is
nothing. Try this:
"Over 10,000 individuals between the ages of 10 and 20
participated in a national telephone survey used to determine their
smoking status." [...wondering how much that survey has cost
American taxpayers?] … "The majority of the individuals
surveyed were as young as 12 or 14 years when they first experimented
with smoking."
Since the survey includes 18 to 20 year-old, those LEGALLY
permitted to purchase and use cigarettes; the figures hardly cover underage
smoking! And WHAT PERCENTAGE of the interviewed people
represents those of legal age? Where is "the majority"
quantified in a percentage number? Unknown… proprietary data base?
Most likely. That means that no one can find out.
And here is the final bang:
" In an interview with Reuters Health, co-author Dr. John
Pierce, UCSD professor of cancer research, cites ``tobacco
advertising'' and ``the effectiveness of the Joe Camel campaign'' as
possible reasons for the dramatic increase in smoking among today's
youth." ... "urgent need for increased tobacco control
efforts aimed at young people.'' [meaning more money into their
pockets].
Sure, Mr. Liar. Joe Camel has disappeared, tobacco advertising has
become almost invisible, and this youth is trying today (if
that is true at all). And of course, anti-tobacco advertising has nothing
to do with youth experimentation… isn't that so, you crook? LACK OF
EFFICACY OF TRANSDERMAL NICOTINE IN SMOKING CESSATION - Though
even this letter seems to proceed from certain assumptions as if they
were proven facts, the letter nevertheless makes it crystal-clear that
smoking cessation devices do not work, and they are
yet another scam by the anti-tobacco cartel and the
pharmaceutical industry that finances anti-tobacco for obvious
commercial reasons.
Aside from the fraudulent aspect of smoking cessation devices, it
is useful to reflect on WHY the smoking cessation
gizmos do not work. If we detach ourselves from emotions and politics,
and from the public money-funded "studies," the answer is
astonishingly simple.
Drug substitutes like Methadone work in limited ways because they
partially replace, or mimic the effects of, powerfully addictive
chemicals that create a physical dependence. Smoking is not a
physical dependence, and nicotine is not addictive. If it were,
nicotine delivery devices would work. Smoking is a habit, that
is, a mental association between feelings or actions and the pleasure
of smoking. And as most habits, it may indeed be very difficult to
break.
It is not conceivable that the pharmaceutical industry and the "Intelligentsia"
(if there is such a thing) of anti-tobacco are unaware of these facts.
It follows that the only possible explanation is a conscious fraud
for the purpose of political and monetary gain, and as such it
must be punished with the full weight of the law.
But even forgetting propaganda and frauds, and in view of the LACK OF PROOF about the
"lethal" effects of smoking -- and also considering the
pleasure and comfort it gives - why quit? The public school establishment may stiff its students but
it has plenty of money to shovel anti-tobacco education down their
throats. More than $200-million tax dollars are allocated for
anti-tobacco education efforts that include funding Joe Camel
funerals, jazzercise classes and hate campaigns worthy of
Nazi Germany. It's no surprise that California students rank near the
bottom of the national pile in student achievement and that teen
smoking in skyrocketing.
The American Civil Liberties Union, to its credit,
attempted to halt similar bigotry in North Miami but was thwarted by
the Florida Supreme Court. It's unfortunate that the ACLU has been all
too silent regarding the role of the publicly funded tax-exempt
organizations that have pressured governments to deny Americans basic
civil liberties.
Three years ago we exposed the odious ideology of the
cartel to the public. In a federal document, The American Cancer
Society outlined the cartel's agenda of coersion and state-sanctioned
discrimination. Take a look at Approaches Directed to
the Social Environment now and marvel how much of the
ACS' hatefulness has permiated what once was a free country.
Coincidence? Not likely when UCSF is the lair in which
anti-tobacco operative Stanton Glantz practices his dark arts of
statistical manipulation as a hired gun for the special interests that
are taking the American public to the cleaners.
It's true that out-of-state and black market cigarette
sales have never been so high. Only the fronts for the anti-tobacco
industry, however, are preaching the lie that high taxes reduce
smoking rates. No one believes them and their lies aren't meant to be
believed. The bottom line is that the cartel take has increased while
the tobacco tax contribution to the state's general fund has
decreased.
Although tobacco sales have declined since Rob Reiner's tax
was imposed in January, tobacco tax receipts have increased by 67
percent. This increase does not enrich the coffers of California.
Reiner's tax is strictly a transfer payment from smokers to a gaggle
of special interest groups operating in every county in California.
The state's only role is to collect Reiner's tax. He routes the funds
to his friends on the county boards. What they do with the cash is up
to them. To buy the cooperation of the anti-tobacco cartel, Reiner
skims 20 percent of his take and disburses it to the cartel in the
form of "anti-tobacco education" grants. The usual gang of
thieves like the American Lung Association, the American Cancer
Society and the American Heart Association are free to pad their
payrolls without even the nominal oversight of state officials.
Reiner, friend of the oppressed, is well aware that the
bulk of his tax is paid by California's working class who are unable
to buy in bulk from out-of-state vendors. Those who can afford his tax
can afford to bypass the state's taxes entirely.
The Los Angeles Times continues its embarrassing
tradition of quoting Stanton Glantz. As a source of information,
Glantz would seem, by most rational people, to be a dubious choice.
His career of statistical manipulation is waning as his studies, one
after another, are discredited. The reporter's reliance on Glantz'
credulity as well as her unblushing acceptance of the cartel's absurd
contention that California's smoking rate is 18 percent - a mere 2
percentage points above Utah, where 75 percent of the population are
Mormons - reminds one of the White Queen in Alice's Wonderland whose
day began with believing impossible things.
Because of their nature, they spend more than non-smokers do and
they contribute immense amounts to the coffers of ANY nation through
the ever-increasing taxation on tobacco. Unfortunately, governments
that are corrupted and/or misinformed by international anti-tobacco
organizations we do not hesitate to call organized crime, have found
the way to get smokers to finance even their persecutor.
What is frustrating for many is the apparent lack of reaction of
smokers against their persecutors. But something is changing in many
places at this time, and the tides, though slowly, begin to turn.
This is the case of the Spokane Interstate Fair, where smokers as a
class of citizens spoke with their silence - and their feet. As
smokers' collective consciousness grows, any chosen target, from
airlines to restaurants, from political elections to workplace, will
feel their immense power. And those media that are now sold out to the
anti-tobacco cartel and fascist ideology will not be able to ignore
and mortify smokers anymore. All it takes to straighten up corrupted
media is to affect their ratings. That power is at the fingertip of
every smoker who has a channel switcher, or a few quarters to buy the
newspaper with.
It does not take the majority to run the show. The anti-tobacco
gangsters have been able to prove at least that
beyond any reasonable doubt. Though reported in the typical way anti-smoking press
reports news on the tobacco industry (that is, with the implied
message that it is not possible that ETS data is crooked, or that the
industry may not let this mega fraud go unchecked -- just that this is
contrary to the industry's marketing interests), the LA Times
nevertheless reports that Big Tobacco is pursuing the data on
second-hand smoke.
Simply put, Big Tobacco wants access to all data collected. This
data, which is at the base of anti-tobacco's propaganda against
smoking in public, is safely locked away so that people (and
especially the critics) can't get at it.
Why? There are only two possible explanations: either the data is
fraudulent, or the data does not show conclusively in any way, shape
or form that ETS harms people. So far, blatantly inconclusive data has
been the case for ALL studies
on ETS (except a minor one), even when conducted by once
reputable organisations such as the WHO. Both fraud and lack of
proof are very likely scenarios that may coexist in the international
ETS scam.
But the most important issue here is that the tobacco industry IS
MOVING, and it is using its power to get the data out of the
exclusive control of the anti-tobacco gangsters -- and, to add insult
to a well deserved injury -- it is likely to win. Once obtained, the
data will be analysed and exposed to the public - and THIS is
obviously what the anti-tobacco cartel fears the most, not just for
the political blow it would receive, but especially because blatant
frauds and fabrications will no doubt be discovered.
GOOD JOB, TOBACCO INDUSTRY! Do
we dare cheering you on this time? The answer is an emphatic YES.
You are the only entity with the money and the power to fight the
state-financed cartel effectively, and expose it to extinction. All
you've been missing so far are the balls to go all the way.
One important plea, if we can. Once the frauds have been proven, do
not stop when the lies to the public are exposed. We want you to legally
pursue both the anti-tobacco entities and the individuals that
have defrauded the public. We want those entities disabled --
make that destroyed. And, especially, we want the
perpetrators prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and IN
JAIL where they belong.
On second though, that is not a plea, it is a demand on behalf of your best and
only customers - and on behalf of JUSTICE. We think we have earned
that with our MONEY, and our SUFFERING. |
