"The answer is that his fledgling political career was financed largely by salaries and trust funds tied to the beer distributorship owned by his wife's father." 'McCain may go after smokers, but when it comes to getting elected, he goes for the gusto." "He's also not fond of being questioned about the way he manipulated the press to protect his own career after his wife, Cindy, admitted stealing drugs from the charitable organization she ran." Is this the profile of a person concerned with the health of people, or the profile of an arrogant, power inebriated hypocrite who needs to be shut down by the people? More precisely, this is the oh-so-common profile of an anti-tobacco operative.
Relying on an amoral, toe-sucking advisor with as high a character as Clinton himself possesses, he donned the mantle of tobacco crusader, even though he is a smoker himself. One after another, his anti-tobacco initiatives have bit the dust. His illegal scheme to expand the power of the Food and Drug Administration to control tobacco was thrown out by the courts. His Environmental Protection Agency's second-hand smoke scam has been vacated and labeled a fraud by a federal judge. His plan to completely nationalize the tobacco industry couldn't get past first base in Congress. When Bill Clinton takes on the tobacco industry he looses. In perhaps his final gamble, Clinton pressured Attorney Janet Reno to sue the tobacco industry along lines similar to the state suits that have enshrined government racketeering into law. It is obvious to everyone that this federal suit is strictly Cintonian politics at its most blatant. Throughout his administration, the Justice Department conducted as many as six simultaneous investigations focusing on allegedly illegal activities by the industry. When the dust settled, the administration uncovered absolutely no illegal actions. Unless the industry caves - always a very real possibility - this latest roll of the dice will also come to naught. The collateral damage that is being wrought upon this country cannot, however, be ignored. One particularly egregious charge against the industry is that it disputed the official line of the government. At one time public disagreement with the government's policies would be known as exercising the First Amendment. Under Clinton and cowed political hacks such as Reno, contrary views are known as racketeering. If allowed to prevail, Clinton will have turned us all into the thugs and thieves that have permeated this most corrupt administration. "Anti-smokers are undoubtedly right to say that big
tobacco failed to come clean about the harmful effects of smoking
(though why people should choose to listen to the industry's
advertisements rather than the surgeon-general's health warnings is
not clear)."
The explanation for that is quite simple: the surgeon-general is a political
figure, thus he is vulnerable to the politics of the
administration that appoints him. The surgeon general has been
lobbied, and bombarded by fraudulent and distorted information about
the health consequences of tobacco year after year and, like a parrot,
he has ended up repeating the words. The US surgeon general, like any
other authority (health or otherwise) is neither a god, nor is a
demi-god. He is a fallible and corruptible person
like anybody else.
Fortunately, this Economist article redeems itself by highlighting
things that will inevitably come -- unless the health cartel is fully
exposed, its back broken, and politics are reversed.
"There is no reason why this should stop with smoking.
What about drinking? Many boozers share smokers' subversive belief
that quality of life is more important than quantity. What about
skiing or paragliding? Both activities not only involve risks to their
participants but also costs to the people who have to clear up after
their mistakes. And what about the national epidemic of obesity? Fat
people not only impose huge costs on society because they are [sic]
tend to be unhealthier than thin ones. They are also damned annoying
when you have to sit next to them on airliners. Forcing people to be
thin may seem a little far-fetched. But then so did banning smoking in
bars just a few years ago." Sorry, Mr. Yach (your name says it all, anyway): a lie is a lie no
matter how you dress it. And we, along with many others, pledged long
ago to expose the frauds you represent - and to punish
those who support and create them.
"Things we would never tolerate are commonplace in foreign
countries," said Colleen Stevens of the tobacco control section
at California's Department of Health Services. "Here, people
worry when they see kids buying cigarettes. In other countries they
are allowed to sell them."
Cool! … And who, in his right mind, ever said that the United
States is a socially advanced country? ...Sorry, American co-fighters,
but virtually all of you who have sanity left (that's why you are
fighting anti-tobacco) agree that the US is going through an
unprecedented, severe and accelerating social involution in these last
10 years. Proof? Violence, Clinton, contempt for the greatest
Constitution on Earth, anti-tobacco -- just to mention a few. Besides,
a lot of Americans are quite tolerant of tobacco. Only the
fascist-minded ones are not.
And now, the US wants to force the world to "de-evolve"
as it did using, among other means, moppets like the World Health Organisation and the
United Nations to push the anti-tobacco agenda and its frauds, moral
degeneration, and looting on the entire world.
Sorry, anti-tobacco bastards, you had it easy in the US and its
satellite countries - but it is a completely different ballgame in
other cultures. We will make sure of that! "The trust had sued the tobacco companies to recover money
paid to asbestos victims in settlements or court judgments alleging
that some of the injuries were caused by a combination of smoking and
asbestos exposure." Wow! Is this ever a real piece of twisting and enmeshing!
… And what percentage of which caused what,
exactly? One can say: 'never mind, nobody knows,
nobody cares, it cannot be proven, and the case has been thrown out
anyway.' But the asbestos-making corporation (Johns Manville) was
driven to seek Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 1982. Asbestos has
been used for decades for its low-cost and high efficiency before
discovering that it was a carcinogen.
The very concept that a corporation can be destroyed because the
product it makes turns out to be potentially harmful AFTER
the fact is quite stomach turning -- and extremely dangerous, for God
knows how many products currently used today will turn out to be
"harmful" tomorrow. All it takes is political interests, a
few extortionist lawyers, and the appropriate amount of junk science. Julius Richmond has just committed the crime of perjury -- again.
There is no proof that tobacco smoke is the sole responsible for a
disease that has over 40 concomitant factors.
Richmond has a long history of perjury on tobacco. Since 1997 he
has earned a prominent position in our Book
of Infamy for his
perjury in
the Florida flight attendants scam trial on second-hand smoke.
Richmond belongs to a long list of malefactors who one day, we hope,
we'll help to secure to justice.
A panel that has already decided that cigarettes are "a
defective product" (but it has never indicated what a
"non-defective" cigarette is), and that the tobacco
companies had engaged in ''extreme and outrageous conduct''
in selling and marketing their product without, of course,
indicating what a "correct" way to market a legal product
is, now must carry on with yet another mockery of justice
Florida has become famous for.
If (sorry -- when) the 300-billion award will be given to
a package of criminals who neither have nor need any solid evidence
for their claims, the tobacco industry may be in financial danger, and
the real criminal cartel that so far has been limiting its activities
to heroin and ecstasy marketing will seriously consider taking over
the tobacco market as well.
Oh, well - as we always said: it takes real criminals to fight real
criminals, and the gangsters on the right side of their own laws are
already losing the war on drugs… "The state's highest court issued an order asking plaintiffs
in the Engle sick-smokers suit to respond to a cigarette makers'
request that the court throw out the massive class-action case that
some say could cost the industry $300 billion to $500 billion in
damages." NOT SO -- you callous liar! There is NO PROOF that smoking by itself
causes lung cancer, or ANY cancer, for that matter. The only
thing puffed here is medical frauds forced in the heads of the jurors,
and the public -- for money. Superior Court Judge Ronald S. Prager has denied a preliminary
injunction against Philip Morris Cos. and other tobacco companies,
which would have barred them from selling cigarettes in California
until they provide clear warnings on the dangers of second-hand smoke.
The anti-tobacco cartel is trying to force the tobacco industry to
print warnings on cigarette packages about the non-existing dangers of second-hand
smoke. What cannot be proven with real science, the antismoking
criminals try to "prove" it with frauds, and when that does
not work either, they have no scruples in using force.
But Judge Prager did not fall for the lies -- probably putting at
serious risk his future career. But sometimes there still are those
who cannot be intimidated or bought out by bullies and criminals, no
matter what.
Last year, President Clinton, when he wasn't denying his affair with Monica Lewinsky, appeared before the nation piously repeating the mantra that every day 3,000 children begin smoking. What many in the press didn't note at the time was that his numbers were culled from a study of 20 YEAR OLD ADULTS. With its "3,000 children" lie exposed, the cartel is busy plugging that hole with even more dubious material. Forget the 3,000, says the cartel. According to the University of California - San Diego, it's actually 5,000 minors per day who try their first cigarette and 2,000 of them become regular smokers. The validity of this "study" is as solid as the reputation of the institute involved and there is no major academic organization that has prostituted itself so abasely as has the University of California in its quest for anti-tobacco funding. The only real, and unintended, howler is the hilarious definition of what defines a "regular" smoker. Take a look at the story and marvel at the futility of the cartel's efforts to keep its dike of deception intact. The state control operatives who are working for the actual
implementation of the One World Order garbage will be forced to
control people in their deepest intimacy to achieve their communist
goals. Is the United States becoming the political revenge of the
Soviet Union? Don't laugh - Bill Clinton is in power, and he is going
to leave a dreadful legacy. That's right. Moreover, as soon as those countries are informed on
the systematic frauds and distorsions of the international
anti-tobacco cartel, they'll give the physical boot to all the
anti-smoking activists and the paid anti-tobacco operatives as they --
and their dishonest campaign -- deserve. The Insider portrays Jeffrey S. Wigand, fired as research chief at
the Brown Williamson Tobacco Corporation in March 1993, as a
"whistle blower" against Brown Williamson, the cigarette
manufacturer.
So goes the propaganda. The truth, however, is quite different, as
described below in this page. We now publish the letter of a former
employer of Wigand. While this employer seems to be himself affected
by anti-tobacco propaganda, he shows at least moral integrity by
speaking out against a crook that has been turned into a hero by a
Walt Disney Productions, a Mickey Mouse business that should stick
with its original creation. SMOKE SCREEN: TOBACCO MAY BE EVIL, BUT ITS LATEST CHALLENGER IS NO HERO Once again, this letter shows the moral and integrity models of the anti-tobacco cartel, its political supporters, and of those imbeciles who think that, by kissing the boots of the liar with the latest upper hand, they can make money and political glory. These fools have not yet understood that the bigger they are, the harder they fall.
Repeals additional $.50 per pack tax on cigarettes and equivalent increase in state tax on tobacco products previously enacted by Proposition 10 at November 3, 1998, election. Provides for elimination of funding for Proposition 10 early childhood development and smoking prevention programs. Prohibits imposition of additional surtaxes on the distribution of cigarettes or tobacco products unless enacted by the state legislature. Provides that all additional tobacco taxes previously collected under Proposition 10 shall be appropriated and expended at which time the California Children and Families First Trust Fund shall terminate. Last November, Rob Reiner, former sit-com actor and current third tier movie director, watched the election returns with dismay as his tax scheme appeared to be headed for defeat. One week later he was crowing with triumph as the final return revealed that his tax hike had garnered a franction of a percentage over 50 percent. The results of his narrowly approved initiative have confirmed the worst fears of those who predicted that the hundreds of millions stolen from California citizens would launch the most irresponsible orgy of special interest spending in the state's history. After months of haggling, the gaggle of parasites who administer the loot are spreading it around to the social engineers and new-age quacks who are now charged with raising lower income children as they see fit. With no state oversight, the thousands of new county bureaucrats will reign over their fiefdoms completely unaccountable to the tax payers who foot the bills. Already reports are surfacing that some of the funds are being used to pay the salaries of employees who were hired to perform functions completely unrelated to the so-called "childrens' development" programs the Reiner Tax is supposed to address. Californians have an excellent opportunity next spring to regain control from the theives and special interest confidence artists and return it where it belongs: to the people.
What hasn't worked on the public has, however, worked extremely well on the governing class. Politicians of all stripes are living proof that the Goebbels method still has legs especially when the media is a reliable cheerleader for the anti-tobacco special interests that concocted the second-hand smoke hysteria. The media free ride is coming to an end and not a moment too soon. Jon Dougherty of WorldNetDaily digs beneath the sterile press releases cranked out by the cartel to present all sides of the tobacco issue. Seeking out researchers of the high caliber of Martha Perske, Wanda Hamilton, and Rosalind Marimont, he presents the readers with the complete story and lets them make their own decisions. With the re-emergence of a free press, the Goebbels method of control will go the way of the Third Reich. "The Nazi government introduced socialized medicine and
government-mandated vacations at government spas, imposed handgun
control, and expanded unemployment "insurance" and Social
Security." "Protecting property from plunder has always been the biggest
challenge to civilized society. The U.S. has been failing this
challenge for two decades."
"Never pay for an airline ticket or a hotel bill in cash. Your
money can be confiscated on the "probable cause" that cash
implies drug dealing. If you doubt these statements, consult the
hearings on asset forfeiture held by the House Judiciary
Committee."
"The attack on tobacco companies by state attorneys general
and now the U.S. Justice (sic) Department has opened a new front in
the government's war against property." "Gen. Barry McCaffrey left the university's Goldsmith College
with placard-waving demonstrators pursuing his car and shouting
denunciations of his tough policy on drugs." This is the behaviour we should all have with anti-tobacco
gangsters. We should learn something from those who have been
oppressed for a long time. But no worry, we'll get there. As soon as
the WHO gangsters are through bamboozling the governments of Earth
with their lies and outright frauds, the anti-tobacco cancer will be
truly global, and all smokers will be considered drug addicts to be
rehabilitated, or suppressed. Mothers will lose their children,
fathers will lose their jobs. Children will be taught to look at the
smoking parents with contempt.
This and more is in store for us unless we decide to fight back
-- and hurt back. Anti-tobacco is a social cancer
metastasizing through the WHO gang -- the strong arm of the US and the
pharmaceutical industry in the world. |
