- And, just like tobacco control, collecting an additional $400-$500 from
consumers per new car to fund a “Global Warming Settlement” will not solve the
problem any more than collecting 45 cents per pack form cigarette consumers
solved the “problem” of smoking.Next, as the model goes, we’ll start to hear
about the compelling need for higher car insurance premiums to discourage
driving and lower emissions. The more things change the more they stay the same,
when theft from the consumer's pockets is the real intention of the state!
Here we see the same model as anti-tobacco applied to Global Warming, with the
same now-predictable results: consumers are charged more, manufacturers are
hurt, special-interests expand power, and state activists open yet another
lucrative field of opportunism to graze.
This model and its application clearly
shows why the fight against anti-tobacco is so deeply important to everyone, smokers and non-smokers alike: as the tobacco control model produces more and more money for
insiders, while enjoying uncritical review from the media, it has predictably spread
to anti-obesity and Global Warming. Most important, if we accept the
“Anti-Mentality” we will stop economic growth, kill liberty and institutionalize
fraud. There is no proof whatsoever that cars or industries cause global
warming.
We are not even sure whether there is global warming. Few know that only
recently, world-wide, we begin to have a semi-advanced planetary network system to measure mean
temperatures. So we are comparing unreliable data from the past with less
unreliable data from the present and we "conclude" that there is global warming.
Furthermore, we "conclude" that it is the cars that are to blame.
And
IF there is global warming, it is
almost certainly due to the
greatly
increased activity of the Sun. Both technological and astronomical points are - of course -
totally ignored by media. By acting responsibly and saying that there is no
demonstrated danger, the media wouldn't attract much attention and would make many enemies amongst the enviro-healthists
who thrive and get rich on alarmism. Instead, by pushing the panic button on a
daily basis, all the hysterics out
there get exactly what they want to hear.
Ah, we forgot: if you say that
there is danger you don't have to prove it - you just have to state
it -- for suspicion is equated to proof; it is your opponent who has
to proof that it's not so (proving a negative is impossible). Welcome to the
