Luik The people of AIRSPACE go to great extent to slander the reputations of Dr. Gori and Dr. Luik for the obvious reasons that they highlight the lies on falsification of the anti-smoking propaganda on Environmental Tobacco Smoke. Dr. Gori and Dr. Luik have never denied their contacts with the tobacco industry. This, however, does not change the facts that Gori and Luik are exposing. The attempt to discredit these researchers is merely an attempt to distract people from the fact that there is no scientific foundation for the claim that secondhand smoke is harmful. AIRSPACE is employing the classic last resort of those who cannot make their case -- if you can't attack the argument, attack the people who are making it. FORCES is totally independent from the tobacco industry, yet it can procure, so far, over 100 documents and studies from independent sources proving that all claims about second hand smoke are without foundation. The people of AIRSPACE are embarked in a fanatical crusade against windmills that yield no danger. Even the layperson can understand that a maximum possible exposure to the equivalent of less than two cigarettes per year cannot possibly represent a danger to anyone -- child or adult. To cover that end, the operatives of the anti-tobacco cartel have created the "zero threshold" theory, for which no exposure to second hand smoke is safe. Curiously, this nonsense does not seem to apply to the 320,000 tons of carcinogenic and poisonous pollutants that are dumped on the Lower Mainland each year just by vehicular exhaust, not to mention the other sources of pollution, and that they are pumped in the "smoke-free" indoor environment by air conditioning systems. Obviously, that does not make money or politics for these stooges of the anti-tobacco cartel. The insignificance of ETS exposure is a reality that stands regardless of where the money to finance studies comes from, and regardless of all state and pharmaceutical industry-funded propaganda. AIRSPACE and the rest of the anti-tobacco cartel have no scruples in using defamation as a tool to further their campaign of hate and intolerance, and obfuscate the truth in the process. We feel that feeding the public false information should be a crime, and it should be harshly punished.
