Senior smoker freezes to death in Winnipeg, Manitoba

This article from the 21 December 1998 Globe and Mail Newspaper demonstrates very clearly what anti-smoking fanaticism can do. Whether there was a smoking ban in place in this lady's seniors complex, or she felt psychologically compelled 'to do it outside', like a dog, really doesn't matter. What does matter, is the pressure surrounding this issue which led to a 78 year old freezing to death - in Canada - while attempting to enjoy a legal product.
