Of all the lies about primary and passive smoking, few are more obnoxious that the one concerning SIDS. The origin of this disease is TOTALLY UNKNOWN, and so are the causes. Even those who are against smoking (but competent about SIDS) outrightly reject any inference of causality concerning smoking and SIDS.

The implicit accusation that smokers are killing their own infants is not just without any scientific foundation whatsoever, but it is a clear endorsement of the social persecution of smokers, and it is unworthy of a civilised society.
