MATT DRUDGE IS OUT IN THE FIELD... HIS REPORT WILL RETURN WHEN HE DOES...

MEDIA STRUGGLES WITH SHOCKING NEW DETAILS OF WHITE HOUSE AFFAIR

**Warning: Contains Graphic Description**

Sat Aug 22 1998 14:22:02 ET -- In a bizarre daytime sex session, that occurred just off the Oval Office in the White House, President Clinton watched as intern Monica Lewinsky reportedly masturbated with his cigar.

It has been learned that several major news organizations have confirmed the shocking episode and are now struggling to find ways to report the full Monica Lewinsky/Bill Clinton grossout.

Media Bigfeet are trying to reconstruct one sex session that reportedly took place as Yasser Arafat waited in the Rose Garden for his scheduled meeting with the president!

According to multiple sources close to the case, President Clinton allegedly masturbated as Lewinsky performed the sex show with his cigar in a small room off the Oval Office. It is not clear if Clinton or Lewinsky kept the cigar, or if Lewinsky testified on the specifics of the encounter before a federal grand jury this week. Lewinsky's testimony has been described as graphic, and included unusual practices.

The DRUDGE REPORT has now been briefed on these shocking details that have stunned all those who have heard them and investigated them -- details that now threaten to completely disgust the American electorate.

The White House refuses to comment on any DRUDGE REPORT.

CLINTON: RESIGNATION!

**Exclusive**
**Must Credit**

Wed Aug 19 1998 21:27:35 ET -- It was another time. Another place. But the same man.

"No question that an admission of making false statements to government officials and interfering with the FBI is an impeachable offense." -- Bill Clinton, ARKANSAS GAZETTE, August 8, 1974, page 7-A.

That quote is just one of dozens the DRUDGE REPORT has now obtained -- quotes that show Bill Clinton, in his own words, warning about the dangers of leaving a man that has lied in the position of President of the United States.

Bill Clinton was running for a seat in the United States Congress in the Summer of '74. In the early weeks of August, President Nixon was going down in flames from events surrounding the Watergate scandal. At that time, Nixon was refusing to respond to pressure from the Hill demanding his resignation.

Clinton was running for the seat held by Rep. John Paul Hammerschmidt [R] -- a Nixon loyalist who was publicly supporting the president and telling him to stay in office.

"REPRESENTATIVE IS 'OUT OF STEP,' CLINTON CHARGES" was the headline in the newspaper on August 8, 1974.

In the wake of President Nixon's public admission that he had lied about his role in Watergate, Clinton, then a law professor at the University of Arkansas, said:

"I think it is plain that the president should resign and spare the country the agony of impeachment and removal proceedings."

"I think the country could be spared a lot of agony... if he'd go on and resign," Bill Clinton declared.

The ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT, two days earlier -- August 6, 1974, page 10-A -- quoted Bill Clinton again talking about the need for Nixon to leave office:

"Bill Clinton, Democratic candidate for the 3rd Congressional District, said, "There is nothing left to say. There's no point putting this country through an impeachment since [Nixon] isn't making any pretense of innocence now... This country has suffered so long."

CLINTON WORE LEWINSKY TIE DURING SPEECH!

**Exclusive**
**Must Credit**

Insiders who have full knowledge of the gifts exchanged between Monica Lewinsky and President Clinton tell the DRUDGE REPORT that Clinton wore a tie during last night's national TV address that was given to him by Monica Lewinsky!

The silver-blue tie, with little black checkers, was the first tie Monica Lewinsky gave President Clinton early in their relationship. And investigators may ask Lewinsky about that tie when she makes an appearance before the grand jury later this week, it has been learned.

"It's Bill Clinton playing with fire," warns one case insider. "This is his finger to the world."

Bill Clinton may have not even remembered that Monica Lewinsky gave him the tie, but one source, directly involved in the case, strongly doubts it.

"I know it's unbelievable, but he was wearing her tie!"

Supersyndicated columnist Tony Snow late Tuesday night also reported that President Clinton "allegedly wore a tie that had been given by none other than Monica Lewinsky!"

The White House offered no immediate comment.

The NEW YORK TIMES fronts a story on another tie sighting in Wednesday editions, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

"When President Clinton strode into the Rose Garden on August 6, his jazzy gold and navy necktie stood out sharply against his white shirt and sent a jolt through certain lawyers around town... According to what Ms. Lewinsky told a close friend, Ms. Lewinsky told the president that because they would not be able to see each other every day, 'when I see you wearing this tie I'll know that I am close to your heart.'

DRUDGE FOOTNOTE: It was Halloween of 1997. The romance was over between Lewinsky and Clinton. Even the phone sex had cooled. It was a dangerous time, with lawyers for Paula Jones looking into Clinton's activities. Monica Lewinsky gave the president a little jack-o'-lantern lapel pin, according to case intelligence. Videos and pictures track how the president wore it all day, during all of his public appearances.

TRIPP WANTS TO RETURN TO WORKPLACE, PENTAGON SILENT

**Exclusive**
**Must Credit**

With her grand jury testimony now over, Linda Tripp would like to return to her desk at the Pentagon, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. But her superiors at the Pentagon have not allowed her to return.

Tripp views this as a clear sign that they do not want her back, according to sources, and that her 18-year government career is ending.

She has requested to return to her former position as Director of the J.C.O.C. program -- and her request has not been answered.

Tripp, who was not available for comment on this report, had asked for a resolution of this problem by August 13. There has been no response.

Tripp has been working out of her house since she became a main witness to the Office of the Independent Counsel last January. She has not worked at her desk at the Pentagon since the Monica Lewinsky story became public.

Is there a whistle-blower lawsuit to follow?

Tripp is said to be considering her options this week.

CNN was Cable King during the President's remarks on Monday night with 5,405,000 households. MSNBC was seen in an estimated 942,000; an estimated 462,000 tuned on FOX NEWS CHANNEL, the network's personal best. A.C. NIELSEN was having difficulty pinning down a precise number of people for the broadcast networks, an estimate will be announced early Wednesday morning, but it is clear that Clinton address pulled the biggest HUT levels since the OJ verdict...

BBC: DUCHOVNY WANTS OUT

X-FILES star David Duchovny has now admitted that he hates the sci-fi hit - and wishes he could leave the show.

"I'd love to be off the TV show, but because of my greed I have to give them an extra two years," Duchovny says.

The actor, who plays FBI agent Mulder, is quoted on the BBC website where he says that he thought the show was doomed from the start.

He said: "I assumed there was no way it would last. It wasn't that interesting and I thought it was silly. Obviously I was wrong."

Asked whether he understood the plot, he said: "Enough to know they don't make sense. There are lots of holes."

CLINTON COMBATIVE; PRESIDENT APPEARED 'LOST' DURING PROSECUTOR'S QUESTIONING

**Exclusive**
**Contains Graphic description**

Tue Aug 18 00:27:33 1998 -- During his grand jury testimony on Monday, President Clinton may have slipped further into perjury.

The DRUDGE REPORT has learned that the president responded repeatedly with "weak and confusing" answers during his historic testimony -- answers that are bound to haunt him in future months!

"His story was all over the place," one well-placed source disclosed late Monday night.

"He had major trouble with the time line [of his contacts with Monica Lewinsky]... he stumbled all over the Vernon Jordan questions. And his Betty Currie story was full of inconsistencies."

Clinton contradicted documents and tapes, according to the well-placed source, and appeared "lost" during one heated exchange.

The DRUDGE REPORT was first to publish the Monica Lewinsky story in a series of exclusive reports last January.

The WASHINGTON POST in Tuesday editions confirms that President Clinton was combative during his closed session with Starr's prosecutors and investigators were not able to ask all the questions they wanted to because Clinton refused to extend beyond the predetermined amount of time.

Clinton took several breaks from his testimony on Monday to confer with his lawyers in the doctor's office next door to the Map Room, the NEW YORK TIMES reports on Tuesday. "At about 3:30, he took a break that lasted roughly an hour," one Clinton ally told the paper.

Prosecutors were completely frustrated by Clinton's performance, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned from several sources.

"At times, [Clinton] refused to provide specific answers to even the most basic questions," revealed one insider close to the action. "His answers did very little to convince investigators that the evidence they've collected in the past 7 months could be flawed."

FOX NEWS CHANNEL ace reporter David Shuster was reporting late Monday night that Clinton was hit with an unexpected line of questioning during his grand jury testimony.

It is not known the nature of those questions.

Susan Schmidt and Ruth Marcus on 15th Street reported that Clinton's "defiant stance appeared to be a gamble that Starr will be left without enough evidence to bring a criminal case against him or be able to convince Congress to launch impeachment proceedings."

It was not clear if any questions posed to Clinton on Monday were sexually graphic. But if questions posed to another star witness in the case are any indication -- things likely turned explicit at the White House.

The DRUDGE REPORT has learned that Monica Lewinsky, when asked by prosecutors if the president performed "cunnilingus" on her, responded by saying she did not know what the word "cunnilingus" meant.

In his nationally televised address to the nation Monday night, President Clinton acknowledged an improper relationship with Lewinsky but denied that he lied under oath in his deposition in the Paula Jones sexual harassment case.

And it's a good thing.

Because Bill Clinton, if he admitted to a lie, would have to follow his own advice.

At the height of Watergate in the summer of 1974, during Bill Clinton's race to become a U.S. Representative from Arkansas, Clinton once declared: "If a President of the United States ever lied to the American people he should resign."

Pause.

THE TAPES COMETH...?

"I wish we could release the tapes on Tuesday, after whatever he does on Monday, so people would realize the depravity that has gone on... [depravity] is the best word I can find for it."

That's what Lucianne Goldberg told me on WABC-AM Saturday night.

The country may soon get its first listen to the tapes that started a political nightmare. But first, according to Goldberg, there are legal issues surrounding public release.

"We want to get the tapes out!" Goldberg told New York City. "We have copyright problems. But we are trying... Linda Tripp did not sacrifice her career and her livelihood and her sanity for all of these months to spend years in the court with litigation. So we have to work our way through. But I know we will find a way!"

The tapes contain shocking details, not yet publicly known, about the former White House intern's alleged relationship with the president.

'HE THAT SOWETH...'

**FLASHBACK**
January 20, 1993

For his inaugural ceremony, Bill Clinton chose a King James Bible given to him by his grandmother, opened to a passage: "He that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption."

Aides said Clinton selected the passage for use during the swearing in from the Epistle of Paul The Apostle to the Galatians, Chapter 6, Verse 8.

"For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."
