FORCES - Evidence by topic - Back to: Proving the lies of the anti-tobacco movement: The Evidence
The morbid obsession of the anti-tobacco cartel with sex (particularly male sex, and organs) and seminal fluids induced us to open this section of "The Evidence." We realize that many serious researchers may argue that this compilation of "evidence" belongs more to the "Theatre of the Absurd" section -- from which several pieces are actually borrowed. A serious researcher, however, must also look at the big picture. Rather than attempting to prove that tobacco is not harmful to people's sexual life, this section of The Evidence wants to demonstrate that if tobacco indeed creates medical conditions, then it has certainly created a big one in the psyche of anti-tobacco advocates. At first sight, this mental condition may even be amusing, but it becomes serious stuff when it influences policies of governments, attitude of the media, and the behaviour (as well as the wallet) of citizens. In fact, this section is a case study in how small, poorly conducted studies and statistical manipulation can combine with a well-funded lobbying movement and a gullible media eager for sensational "news" to influence public policy.
