Okay, I need to bitch because I've had enough.

Not only do smokers in general get punished simply because they smoke, but if you are single, you are punished as well. We pay higher taxes, find it almost impossible to get a home loan unless we want to buy a shack or are filthy rich, and if you are single and looking to meet a companion, forget it.

While I am by no means a perfect man (I'm balding, weigh more than I should, and have a beard) I get tired beyond endurance by all the single ads placed by women who say, in effect: Bald? No Problem. A little over weight? No Problem. Beard? Love them! Smoke? NO F'ING WAY!!!

I'd join a monastery, but they probably have no smoking policies as well...

What about putting in an ad yourself, saying: "Smoking, attractive intelligent -- etc. etc. -- man looking for a smoking companion. Smokers only please." You may be surprised at the results. In fact, it is logical to assume that there are many singles of both sexes in your situation -- probably several million in the US alone. Of course, something like that must be done without feeling guilty about yourself and maybe even with the possible idiot from the classified department at the other end of the phone, who may ask you: "But are you suuuuure that you want to put an ad like that?". You see, the problem is that smokers have to come out from hiding, and not be ashamed of their beautiful habit.

Maybe they should start smoking in the face of the bigots, hypochondriacs, sanctimonious & health Nazis -- which brings us to the next and more important point. We certainly believe that you've had enough so... what are you prepared to do other than bitch? Slaves, blacks, gays, Jews and women had had enough for centuries, but nothing happened until they started punching faces -- both politically and physically.

Whining, on the other hand, is well known to achieve nothing -- except, of course, when you are a (usually well paid) professional whiner on the "right side" of the politically correct fence.
