3rd Hand Smoke (& need help with poll)

Postby lordsid » Thu Jan 08, 2009 7:01 am

This has been widely carried by the media in North America.

It's nice to see so many favorable comments to our side.However they've slipped in a poll (right side near top) that our supporters have not seen.(needs help)

Wtf! This "study" isn't a study,it's really a poll.They just phoned people!

I can imagine the questions :lol: ;

Knowing that 2nd hand smoke has virtually wiped out life in our universe,do you agree that 3rd hand smoke is;
A) extremely dangerous
B) extremely,very dangerous
C) very,very dangerous
D) very dangerous

I think this may top the silliest claim that I've ever heard.That was some ratz who claimed that ETS was 20% more dangerous outside.Apparently this was because the wind carries it farther. :lol:

It's in the top,righthand corner under "related". (4th line down)

This may work;(Since I've voted I just get results.)

YOUR VOTE: Does the lingering smell of cigarette smoke bother you?

That's just it.I didn't notice the poll before,yesterday for instance,& apparently neither did all the people that appear to be on our side.Obviously,if the poll was there before,the ratz did.It would be a shame to lose the poll after seeing this support.This support will be ignored and the ratz will use the results to further their own ends.

Could you let as many of our people know of this?

I've left this here and at F2C,plus sent out an e-mail.

I've discovered that you can vote once per day here.
This is still,by far,the most commented on article at the CBC.

What a comeback :!:
The poll looks like it has a few days left though.Right now this has the 2nd highest number of votes made out of the 6 polls listed.Only 7 votes behind the "Lottery" poll.Also the "Smoking" poll is 117 votes higher than the "Hockey" poll,which is pretty hard to do in Canada.

The legislature in my province will be voting fairly soon on banning smoking in cars (with children present).By the looks of it the gov. has lumped it together with a ban on using hand held cell phones while driving.(cowards) There were 3 newspaper polls on the smoking part,all which were about 85% against legislation.This,of course, did not suit the local ratz unit (MANTRA) and one "columnist" particularly.(He's now claiming that he goaded/forced the gov. into this.) MANTRA commissioned their own poll which naturally came up with the desired result.However they had to use almost all of the reponses to match the newpaper poll results.The questions were pretty much as I wrote in my first post above.There wasn't a possible negative response,just varying positives.I was one of the people polled.At any rate,the newspaper polls should provide some "ammo" when I write the members of the legislature.At the very least these polls will not count in MANTRA's "pile".It's always worthwhile to vote in polls.
