FORCES:
The end of an era, the beginning of a better one
This is now the old page of the FORCES
International website. Effective August 20th, 2007 we have
switched to a multi-portal system.
We have
frozen this website in time and kept it on line as a small monument to a
huge effort – that of countering the international institutional frauds
against smoking at first, and then against other self-regarding free choices
of lifestyle.
This now
frozen website contains over ten years of the unpaid labour, dedication,
science, and information of many people, as well as their hopes, dreams and
frustrations. We dedicate it to those people, who know that they are right
in fighting against a form of 21st century superstition that uses
junk science to hide emotional roots that go back to antiquity: the roots of
prejudice.
This
website is also, in fact, a small monument to a human nature that never
changes in spite of the technology that it masters. The need of large groups
for unreflective scapegoating and finger-pointing against whatever
contemporary “evils” are perceived and promoted is balanced by the stubborn
determination of a few to keep high the torch of truth and logic, retaining
a respect for real knowledge and never forgetting that the speculations of
pseudo-science are just that -- speculations.
