I’ve been onto this topic earlier,
when I commented on Aldous vs. Orwell. I will now delve into it in greater
detail.
In all despotic
systems, mind controllers, language engineers and censors have been busily at
work. Societies that hail freedom and liberty have initially disposed of such
characters. But as liberty has been left unguarded, those people have returned.
Nowhere is this more clearly visible today, than in the field of tobacco
‘control’ - i.e. tobacco illegalization.
Censors used to
be busy eliminating passages in texts containing thoughts or expressions that
might inspire individuals to usurp or assasinate their aristocratic masters.
Today, those same types are busy trying to eliminate pictures of people smoking
or references to situations describing smoking.
Censorship has
thus returned. Aristocracy in the form of big health demands that language and
mind control be applied to the topic of smoking and even chewing tobacco. We can
only wonder when these aristocrats will demand that pictures of people eating
peanuts or drinking fizzed sugar water must be eliminated, in order that we, the
serfs, do not become inspired to such self devastating activities. Peanut
control....
Contemporary
methods are far more sophisticated than ever before. Language control is being
applied in the most intriguing fashion. Go through the latest mind controlled
newspaper, and you will see it everywhere.
For the fun of
it, I’ve compiled a brief list of expressions in newspeak, in which mind
controllers use expressions to twist the minds of readers. I’ve also provided a
translation in plain english. Amuse yourself with it, and begin to realize what
is really happening beneath the ‘feel good’ journalism that we are bedeviled
with these days.
No wonder the
papers are loosing circulation.
