Depression In Pregnancy Causes Asthma

Researchers from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health followed 279 inner-city African-American and Dominican women during their pregnancies. The researchers measured the women’s stress and anxiety levels using a series of questionnaires. When the babies were born, researchers tracked the health of the children through age 7.<br />

Here is a thought why not do some clinical studies instead of ones that are based on questionnaires, relying on the indiviudal to tell the truth? <br />

Michigan legislator’s are debating Senate Bill 517 which would reduce the tax on cigarettes by $1.00 a pack.<br />

Amazing, the legislators have finally figured out if you overtax a product people will purchase it somewhere else.&nbsp; There goes your revenue stream.&nbsp; They are also considering reinstating smoking in bars.&nbsp; Common sense may be returning.<br type="_moz" />

Wales could be the first European country to ban smoking in cars with children.<br />

The largest bubble of humanity is the baby boomers, born between 1945 and 1955.&nbsp;&nbsp; That generation grew up around smoking parents and relatives.&nbsp; We didn’t have ADD, were not fat, nor were we sick.&nbsp; We worked in a smoking environment most of our lives and guess what?&nbsp; We still are the largest group, we are not dropping dead from all that smoke and some of us still enjoy cigarettes.&nbsp; How do the health nannies explain that?<br type="_moz" />

A new study of nearly 11,000 older men in Australia has found that the longer the men smoked, the less likely they were to undergo surgery to replace hips and knees damaged by arthritis or other conditions. <br />

The Chicago Tobacco Prevention Project is awarding grants to several housing organizations to encourage the adoption of smoke-free policies in apartment and condos in Chicago.<br />

These people never quit, now they are invading your privacy in the home you pay the mortgage/rent.&nbsp; Enough!&nbsp; One’s personal space should be untouchable!&nbsp; If you allow them in then what else will they do?
