<p><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 8pt; font-family: Verdana;">If you had any doubt left in your mind that “public health” is by leaps and bounds more important than the constitutional guarantees of liberty, this decision from </span><st1:country-region><st1:place><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 8pt; font-family: Verdana;">Canada</span></st1:place></st1:country-region><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 8pt; font-family: Verdana;"> should erase it.</span></p>
<p>On this side of the barbed wire there are the drinkers, on the other side the fatsos. Smokers are in a separate camp, to prevent them from threatening the health of the other addicts with their exhausts. Of course the camps are not camps, they are cessation centres.</p>
<p>We have received this letter from a reader in Canada. We believe that this letter is significant in understanding the futility of certain actions against antitobacco, and the need to concentrate on what works instead.</p>
<p>Yet another case of hospitaly industry realizing that there will no freedom for guests and enterprises as long as the passive smoking fraud is unchallenged.</p>
