Surely Healthist believers will conclude that all 31,000 must be evil mouthpieces for the energy production industry. The parallels between the planetary doom and “secondhand smoke kills” scares are very obvious. Preachments of calm and reason are generally ignored or disparaged by media entranced with a combination of false ideology and sensationalism. Even as voices of reason keep calling out, Big Oil is choosing the path of acqiescence to “politically correct” pseudoscience, just as did Big Tobacco. Our era is very sick. The road to recovery is going to be long and hard.
