The video "Letter to Mrs May" by Vapingpoint was circulated to a contact in the Australian Parliament, Here is his response Dear Bill,

You may not know this, but it is illegal in Australia to sell e-cigarettes that contain nicotine.

Yet again the Australian government has decided they know what’s best for you.

All around the world e-cigarettes containing nicotine are being used as a safer, cheaper and healthier way to quit smoking. Millions of people have found them an effective and affordable way to change their smoking habits.

Yet Australians are denied the option because of nanny-state restrictions.

This video outlines some of the stupid restrictions that have been put in place.

I want to put an end to this madness. I have introduced a bill to legalise e-cigarettes and I’m starting a campaign to promote their availability in Australia. It’s about time we allowed adults to be adults.

If you agree with me and think Australians should have access to e-cigarettes, please join my campaign and have your say by clicking here.

Together we can lobby the government to get out of the way and allow Australians to vape.

Regards,

Senator David Leyonhjelm
Liberal Democrats Senator for NSW
