Orwell’s 1984 was just a bit too early but in 2011 we do have big brother and they are watching you.

According to Bloomberg Business Week companies are insisting on a blood test to determine if you smoke. They are also going after people who are overweight, all in the attempt to save on health insurance costs.

There is push back over 600 Indiana University employees signed a petition last fall protesting the school’s offer of cost breaks, with many raising privacy concerns about a health questionnaire required by the program.

We have never butted into people’s behavior habits now we are, and NO it is not OK to do so. Corporations don’t own you or your body. The only thing they should expect is job performance, and not dictate the rest of your life.
