Oatmeal, long a Healthist favorite, is now convicted of murder.
A lot of us saw this as far back as the ‘sixties: there is nothing that does not "cause cancer." Whether it’s laboratory tests of massive exposures on mice which are bred to be cancer-prone, or "lifestyle epidemiology," a pimpled child of the pimpled parent "science" of eugenics, the hypothesis is the conclusion.
A lot of us also recognize that what seemed a bad joke in the ‘sixties has metastasized into a wickedly dangerous health cult. Nevertheless, one has to laugh, even as one fights these crazies with a vengeance. Oatmeal is a nutritious food. Eat it if you like it. If they ban it mill your own.
