Ohio’s smoking ban came into effect in May, 2007. Some restaurants and businesses have ignored them and allowed smoking. The Ohio Division of Liquor Control will not renew their liquor license until they pay their fines in Richland County.
Restaurants and Bars are owned by people and if their clientele want to smoke there should be exemptions. Small businesses are the backbone of the economy and in case the state legislator’s haven’t notices we are in a recession if not a depression in some areas of the country.

Flexibility and common sense needs to come back into the minds of the public and legislators. No one makes you smoke, eat or drink in a smoking establishment nor work in one. What happened to Freedom to Choice?
