The state department of health wants local communities to decide on smoking bans. Although this may seem to be a good idea on the surface, it really isn’t. Cancer, Heart and Lung Associations have a better chance of banning smoking locally by bombarding the areas with an anti-smoking media message. Think you are tired of seeing political commercials get ready for the anti-smoking commercials.
It would be fair if the owner of the establishments can choose to be smoking or non smoking and put a sign in the window stating which it is. People are perfectly capable of making up their own mind on what establishment they wish to go to. That is FAIR anything else is just bullying.
