Urbane Denmark sheds a bit of its civility as parliament imposes prohibition on the country later this summer. The ban just stops short of duplicating the hard ban that hits Britain next week.
Since there are a few tiny exemptions the anti-tobacco gangsters are crying foul. Anything less than absolute prohibtion is considered anathema and most likely will be peeled away in subsequent legislative sessions. Certainly the parliamentarians value Big Drugs far more than they do their own constituents. As the news article notes a massive protest was held in April by business owners objecting to their livilihoods being destroyed by fraudulent science. Big drug money won that contest.
