Finally, some Courage and Sanity. After being told repeatedly that the Board of Health is only responsible to "listen to their peers", (meaning the "public meetings" are a farce to keep the public from rioting) this board has used their collective brains to determine that their erstwhile peers are the paid promoters of the junk science.
Recognizing their error in trusting bad companions, the board trashed the smoking ban and brought back some choice.
Putnam County citizens should thank and support these brave, pioneering folks, they have a Board that has shown Citizen’s Responsibility over peer pressure.
They will need all the support they can get, as now the Charleston based Bureau of Pubic Health Authority, with the DHHR’s blessing, will try to close this Board of Health Office and run it from Charleston if their past threats hold true.
