Myth Busting and Healthy Living

Abstinence from everything, zero exposures, and a compulsive health fixation lead to good health. Isn’t this what we hear every day? Isn’t this what the sacred ideology says? Isn’t this what "scientific" computer models project?
Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee re Smokers

Candidate Ron Paul’s campaign juxtaposes his position on smokers with that of Mike Huckabee in a video of interest to Americans and to world citizens.

Read and Rage

Just read this hate letter to the Edmonton Journal of Canada to get the idea of what Healthism, and journalistic fawning on this hateful ideology, are all about. The title says it all: “Smokers done. Let’s go after the obese”.
Humanity, dismissed!

As old people continue to die in Canada because of the smoking ban in nursing homes — tragic victims of a criminal law based on epidemiological fraud — a wisp of humanity seems to have come through the callous Alberta antismoking Reich. Check the odor of it.
Trash Study Links Caffeine to Miscarriage

For a while it looked like coffee had been let off the hook. More recently has come a barrage of junk science “attributions” based on risks as ridiculously low as those of passive smoking (and with the same trashy data gathering methodology) that attempts to paint java as — yikes! — the new tobacco!

This is a hoot

If somebody still believes that government-driven antitobacco policies are good or smart, he should really read this piece, as the utter stupidity of the Canadian government and its criminal antitobacco policies cannot be better described.
Listen!

A French bar owner has gone on a hunger strike to protest the country’s new smoking ban.
